Little Mix
All Vocals and very performance based with dancing etc. Very popular with younger demographic and listeners of such shows as BBC Radio 1, also making multiple appearances in the UK Charts.



The Vaccines
Prominent use of band, including guitars and drums, edging on indie but keeping a pop label in terms of where their music is played and the demographic of their listeners. For example many of their recent songs from a newly released album have been played by the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show regularly and is well received by audiences of tis show, also making the UK top 40 Charts with numerous songs.

George Ezra
Based on vocals and guitar. Often considered quite edgy pop music, similar to The Vaccines but not as far from the typical pop genre in terms of the manner of the vocals, being softer than the vocals of the Vaccines lead singer. George Ezra holds a pop genre with his music, often making the Charts and regularly being played on Radio 1 Breakfast Show.








James Arthur
James Arthur's music is based on vocals and guitar but he has a unique voice which differs from a typical pop vocalist of quite an upbeat and high pitched voice, such as Harry Styles.

Synopsis

The narrative of my music video is the progression of a group of artists from being complete strangers to performing at some of the largest venues in the world. My video will present the progress primarily through the use of mise-en-scene, with the locations and props becoming larger and more advanced throughout the song. The performative element of my music video will be the band performing at each venue that is being presented as a progression of the band. For example, I will use the location of a small, local venue, at which the establishing shots of this venue will fulfil the narrative in my video but demonstrating the band performing there will fulfil the performative aspect of the video. Song Choice

Song Choice Two Door Cinema Club - This Is The Life This artist is very based on guitars with no drums nor typical band of a rock genre for example, which is why Two Door Cinema can be classed under the pop genre. This song is very upbeat, with  high pitched vocals and use of guitars, similar to the style of George Ezra of the Sony Production Company and of a typical pop genre artist such as Harry Styles, who's vocals are quite high, without a deep or musky tone. 'This Is The Life' has clear use of repeated choruses and melodic tunes, identities of a pop song. The song also has a basic format with the use of a simple chorus and verse which we see in this song with the repeated use of the lyrics 'this is the life' in the chorus. The song's length is also a signifier of the pop genre with the song being short to medium in length, being 3 minutes 30 seconds.
